These Mexican carved wooden hearts are painted in either blue, red or green and decorated with flowers, birds or butterflies and then the flame is decorated with milagros. Milagro means “miracle,” and these tiny religious charms are generally used to thank or request spiritual help for a specific problem. Each flame is decorated with silver-colored wheat-shaped milagros, made of pot metal and hammered onto the wood. Pot metal is a combination of lots of inexpensive metals that are melted together and then placed in a mold to shape them into the milagros. They are a silver or gold color but are not made of silver or gold. A lovely and popular gift, one of each color left in stock.
They are all one of a kind.
