This beautiful pillow cover is a stunning weaving by Victoria Diaz of San Andres Larrainzar in Chiapas, Mexico. You may remember I met her mother, Andrea Diaz Hernandez, last year on my textile trip. These particular pillows really grabbed my eye because of their vivid use of color and the interwoven Mayan symbols. The cardinal points are there--heaven, underworld and the earth in the middle, as "flat as a tortilla." These are gorgeous and unique pillow covers. This one took 25 days to make. Comes without the pillow insert. Envelope closure.
