Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These are Mexican machine-embroidered table runners that are super stunning and 4' long. Now, when I say "machine-embroidered," I do not mean by a machine. It is machine embroidered by a person. The artisan designed the pattern and then stitched the vibrant colors all over the textile with a sewing machine. It's a special skill that some people master and others don't. These are done by very skilled artists with a handle on design, color and composition. The Christmas colors in combination with poinsettas interspersed with green leaves and stems is SO pretty.
Each one is one of a kind and made in the Southern states of Mexico.
