Mexican folk art toys reflect the artisan's humor and love of the delightful object. This wood, gourd and lacquer helicopter was handmade in Olinala, Guerrero and is absolutely delightful. Smiles are popping out all over. The top propeller rotates in a circle but it is not intended for children. But, of course, they can't help but be entranced by it. It is beautifully painted in the Olinala style. The little people are painted in the windows. The gourds have been dried, lacquered and painted. The three legs are constructed of wood, then lacquered. It is whimsical and pleasing. Very cheerful!
