Finding authentic handwoven textiles for your Arts & Crafts or Mid-Century Modern home can be challenging. So many table runners and pillows are poorly made, poorly conceived and just plain ugly! Not these. These are beautiful handwoven table runners from San Cristóbal de las Casa, Chiapas. The color combinations are unusual for Mexico and were created by a partnership between the Mayan women weavers of some of the women's weaving coops and several French textile designers. The color combos are a modern combination of shades of olive, orange, dark brown and pink. They can be used on the table, as a color accent on a couch or as a shawl--they are just the right size. In fact, when I purchased them, the women asked me about wearing rebozos in the US.
