This large, one-of-a-kind papier-mâché skeleton wears a hat filled with pan de muertos (Day of the Dead bread). Across the brim are the words "Viva Mexico." He reminds me of the black and white graphics by Jose Guadalupe Posada. The skin is painted a light yellow. It stands up with the help of 2 wire stands underneath the seat of the bike. Wonderful for celebrating Día de los Muertos or for staring at all year long. Crafted and hand-painted in Mexico City, in the rustic style typical of that location. A unique and stunning piece.
