Mexican Paper Mache Skeleton on a Bike, Posada Inspired

$ 165.00

One of a kind, large, paper mache skeleton with a hat filled with pan de muertos (Day of the Dead bread) reminds one of the black and white etchings by Jose Guadalupe Posada. These unique sculptures were hand made in Mexico City. The skin is painted a light yellow. Across the front of the sombrero is inscribed, "Viva Mexico." It stands up with the help of 2 wire stands underneath the seat of the bike. Wonderful for celebrating Día de los Muertos or for staring at all year long. Crafted and painted in the rustic style more typical of Mexico City. A very unique and stunning piece.
