These plastic flags are found throughout Mexico on special occasions, draped over the streets to announce an upcoming, existing or past fiesta. Papel picado means "picked paper" because it is traditionally chiseled while stacked in large pile...then each flag is individually strung on string to make a banner of flags. These are bright-colored plastic and will last longer than tissue paper flags. Very festive and very Mexican!
One package includes one string of 10 flags and the package is $5. Photos show one package.
state of origin: Puebla
dimensions: The individual flags are approx 9" wide by 6" tall each. Again, these are strung together.
