These are beautiful handwoven table runners from Chiapas. The color combinations are not traditional for Mexico and were created by a partnership between the Mayan women weavers of Jolom Mayaetik Cooperative and some French designers. The color is a modern combination of dark navy blue with wide stripes on the sides. There are small, Mayan symbols within the side stripes. The navy runner has dark blue symbols and those in the periwinkle runner are multi-colored. They are meant to be used as a camino de mesa or table runner. Neither runner has fringe on the ends--both are finished with a hand sewn hem.
