These colorful handmade beaded Christmas ornaments definitely make a statement. I picked them up in Mexico City but they are usually made by the Huichol Indians of the Pacific coast region, specifically Nayarit. The balls are very lightweight (styrofoam?) and the beads are glued onto the balls. I'm guessing they are attached in the traditional way, with beeswax, but I'm not absolutely positive. Each one is unique and one of a kind. Bright colors.
