These whimsical paper mache doll heads with paper plate hats are another example of the humor with which Mexican artisans approach their craft. This particular doll looks like a china poblana doll but this one has braided paper braids and a charming hat, made of a painted paper plate. She also is wearing shiny gold earrings and a glitter necklace. She is on a stick so one can display her in a glass, as we have here, or lean her up against the wall or shelf. Super whimsical.
