Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

This handmade and hand painted Mexican Talavera flower vase from Dolores Hidalgo is taller than our other special order vases. The design is a colorful mix of traditional talavera colors and every vase is painted by a person, not a machine. They will not be identical but very similar to vases we have offered in the past. We offer this beautifully shaped flower vase in a tall size. Beautiful anytime of the year with a large bouquet of white or multi-colored flowers. This is one example of the color combinations in multi-colored vases. Each vase is one of a kind and may not be identical to the photo.
Special order ceramics may take up to 3-4 months to ship. Please see our Special Orders page for up-to-date shipping times and costs.
