This is a beautiful, Mexican silver, larger earring. They are a lovely combination of leaf shapes that remind me of the Gingko tree. It is the traditional arracada or crescent shape, so common on the earlobes of Mexican women. It is made of sterling silver. Handmade for you in the hills of Michoacán by one of the most interesting silversmiths in Mexico.
Arracada earrings naturally sit slightly angled in the earlobe. It's not the hole in your ear! They are supposed to be slightly angled and not exactly perpendicular to your head. For that reason, you may be able to see the back side of the earring when you are looking in the mirror.
