Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These small round handmade Mexican Talavera flower vases from Dolores Hidalgo are one of our most popular gifts. We offer these very sweet flower vases in a small size. The patterns are blue and white but may not be identical to these photos. They are painted by people, not machines! Blue and white patterns mix and match with other Talavera pieces extremely well.
