This is a one of a kind wooden, carved and painted retablo from Patzcuaro, Michoacán. It features six different saints including the Queen of Mexico, the Virgen de Guadalupe. The piece is large and heavy. The heart at the top sticks out a little bit from the arched top. The whole piece stands out about 2" from the wall. The colors are vibrant but not garish. It's a lovely, one of a kind retablo in the shape of those from Apaseo in Guanajuato.
