The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These paper flags are found throughout Mexico on special occasions, draped over the streets to announce the upcoming, existing or past fiesta. Papel picado means "picked paper" because it is traditionally chiseled while stacked in large pile...then each paper flag is individually strung on string to make a banner. They are made of delicate tissue paper. One package includes one string of 10 flags. Very colorful, very festive and very Mexican!
