Red Cotton Runner or Faja Wrap
A long, red cotton runner with very tiny lines of black, yellow and white was handwoven Chiapas, Mexico. It is known as a "faja" or wrap belt that is used in a man's traditional dress. These extremely long fajas are becoming more difficult to find because fewer young people are wearing them or making them. It is a beautifully simple combination of stripes and bright red. Excellent as a long wall hanging or a table runner.
