This dark red, long, subtly striped faja or belt was handwoven in San Andres Larrainzar, Chiapas on a backstrap loom. It was woven for its original life as a belt--very long, folded three times and wound around the waist to cinch the undergarments. But it can be easily adapted for the table. The dark, deep red color with thin stripes is spectacular. 100% wool. Beautiful for the holidays or anytime on a long table.
One of a kind.
Cleaning: Wash in cold water, on delicate cycle. Air dry then press.
