These pretty salsa dishes and their handmade spoons were made in Capula, Michoacan, a very tiny town not too far from Patzcuaro in the state of Michocán. The bowl is perfect for salsa or any other condiment, the color unique and the little dots of white and/or blue and green are imperfectly perfect. It is glazed with lead-free, "sin plomo" glaze on the inside and out. Capula is a town known for this type of ceramic as well as the beautiful Day of the Dead catrinas of Michoacán. I purchased these at the Uruapan folk art festival during Holy Week in April of 2019. One of each available.
