This is a gorgeous, old huipil, or over blouse, woven and worn by a Mayan woman in Guatemala. The multi-colored weaving is complimented by the brown velvet neckline and embroidered flowers.  The colors combine beautifully. It's not fitted so it is perfect for wearing with skinny jeans or with a belt over a full skirt. These are woven as two separate pieces on a backstrap loom, then made into blouses by sewing them together and embellishing the stitching down the center.

This huipil is a a blue-green or teal with black stripes under the gorgeous embroidery,. The design incorporates flowers and birds. I think this one was embroidered  by hand--no easy feat when you look at the incredible color and design sense and the manual dexterity to make that happen. It is beautiful and has birds, flowers and leaves in it's gorgeous design.

The size is medium large to large. They are basically a square shape so they are not fitted and VERY comfortable. This one is open on the sides. There is a light yellow faded spot on the back of the huipil, as in the photo.

One of a kind, super beautiful
