Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These perfectly sized cereal bowls come in a variety of talavera designs from our favorite workshop in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. I eat my granola in one every day of the week. My favorite design is "azul y rojo" and I have a set at home. They are food-safe, lead-free, can go in the microwave and oven (but who puts their cereal bowl in the oven?). I also use them for yogurt, soup and small salads. Versatile and beautiful. Also, I put mine in the dishwasher. Mix and match--they look great together!
