Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These beautiful handmade and hand-painted plates are perfect for a salad or dessert. Each one is painted individually in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, in a traditional blue and white talavera pattern. Each plate is slightly different in its expression but they go together well. Lovely idea for a housewarming, wedding or anniversary gift. Super pretty!
Our talavera is food-safe, lead-free and can go in the microwave or oven. We recommend hand washing.
