"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.
This is a replica of a design from the 1930's and 40's, by a silversmith and designer, Margot. These replicas of Margot's design are currently being made in Taxco. This remake is much lighter than the old-time jewelry and contains less silver, but the workmanship is excellent and the price is much more affordable than the heavy vintage pieces of old.
