Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These are really pretty and unique paper flowers handmade in Guanajuato. The material is a thick crepe paper, so it's heavier and more durable than the thin little skimpy paper from China. Look at how the ridges and edges are scrimped, sometimes with a second or third color. They are stunning. Some have two colors and others have a single color. They are all beautiful!
Every flower has its own unique color combination. Please allow us to choose the individual flower for you. They may not be identical to the photographs!
