Our Lady of Guadalupe is an image of the Virgin Mary. She appeared to Juan Diego, a Mexican farmer, in December of 1531. He asked that a church be built at the site he had seen the vision. Our Lady of Guadalupe is also known as the "Queen of Mexico" and is Mexico’s most popular religious image. There is a small hook at the top for hanging.
These charming Guadalupes were made in the small and very distant town of Ocumicho, Michoacán. Each one is beautifully painted and the rays stick out from the Virgin. A wonderful gift for the Guadalupe lover in your life.
