The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

This is a replica of a design from the 1930's and 40's, which is currently being made in Taxco. This remake is much lighter than the old-time jewelry and contains less silver, but the workmanship is excellent and the price is much more affordable than the heavy vintage pieces of old. These earrings have posts and a very nice, large backing for the post to make sure it stays in place. Absolutely wonderful. 950 Sterling. Muy Mexicana.
