These shiny tin stars are three dimensional and add a bit of natural tin shine to your tree. They are handmade in San Miguel de Allende. They feature a little door that opens to the inside so they can actually be used as a tree topper or as an ornament. Other ideas are to put a write out a wish and stick it inside. The Mexican stars are made in all sizes and the larger ones can hold a votive candle, a small string of lights or a lightbulb. But these are too small for that--they are decorative.
