These small plates were made in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, a suburb of Guadalajara, Mexico. These tell-tale designs are typical of the region and many items can be found in this charming terracotta ware with cream palate. Ceramics like these are still being made in Jalisco, but these are older and likely have lead in the glaze. They are small, stamped "Mexico" on the back and do not have a loop for hanging. They are very lightweight. Sold as is.
