One more Day of the Dead post! This is a very unique folk art piece made of a little wire, a little paper mache and lots of colorful paint. Then the whole thing is lacquered so it has a hardness to touch. The graves with names and the open coffin with a smiling skeleton, add to the incredible charm. Not to mention the gate that opens and closes. If it weren't a piece of art you might want to play with it!
This artisan is the only person I know who uses a similar technique, with his own twist and aesthetic, of the paper mache over wire style of Saulo Moreno.
