The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

Very pretty, smooth, sterling silver hoop earrings with a nice self-locking clasp behind the ear were handmade in Taxco, Guerrero, the silver mining capital of Mexico. They are .925 sterling silver. Updated traditional hoops that are exceptionally well made. They are not heavy but I don't think they are hollow. They are slightly tapered at the top of the earring.
state of origin: Taxco, Guerrero dimensions: about 1" long, 1' wide
