Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

This is a very traditional folk art from Mexico City. These decorative flowers are cut from colored aluminum foil, then formed into a spray of 4 flowers with leaves and attached to a bendable wire. I have seen them used as an arch over a nicho box on the wall, or as a decorative addition to Day of the Dead celebrations. They could be used for fiestas of any type. They are shiny and super pretty and could be combined to make a longer spray. Beautiful on a table as a low decoration, too.
These are sold as a single spray with 3 or 4 flowers.
state of origin: Mexico dimensions: approx 12" long and 4 flowers with green leaves
