Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.
Consider giving a gift of high quality, Mexican handmade goods! Every piece is authentic and personally selected on our buying trips to Mexico.
Lots of unique, colorful paper products and decorations are made by Mexican artisans with skill and creativity.

The shape of this Mexican Talavera bowl is known at the workshop as a "pozolero" because it can be used to serve pozole, that delicious soup that has everything in it. But I see it as a perfect bowl for serving small sides at the dinner table -- or even holding lemons on the counter! This is the chico size. We also have a few, in the same shape, in the grande size.
All of our ceramics are food safe, lead free and can go in the dishwasher, oven or microwave, if appropriate. We recommend hand washing.
