Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

Beautifully woven textiles from the highlands of Chiapas in a place mat size. I am very choosy about the quality of these handmade pieces so they are all exquisitely woven. Each placemat is woven in a modern color palette but in the traditional striped method of Pantelho, Chiapas. Really pretty combination of light gray stripes with edges of caramel, terracotta, black, mustard and mauve.
100% cotton. Wash in cold water, hang to dry. Press with steam iron.
Photos depict the exact set of four placemats you will receive. Two sets of four available.
