The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

These three-dimensional stars, made of natural tin and painted gold, will add nice shine to your tree. They are handmade in San Miguel de Allende. They feature a little door that opens to the inside so they can be used as a tree topper or ornament. Another idea is to write a wish and stick it inside. Other larger Mexican stars can hold a votive candle or lights, but these stars are too small for that -- they are purely decorative. Our current inventory are stars with squiggles, as in the photograph.
