The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

Pretty, medium size wool bags handwoven and bordado a mano in the highlands of Chiapas. These Chamula "bolsas" or bags are the perfect cross-body length and hold a few mandatory items--credit card, id and a cell phone. These have room for kleenex and a few other valuables. Each one is uniquely decorated on the front though all are in reds and pinks. Tie closure on some, others have a foldover flap. All have a long strap. Pretty and unique enough to hang on the wall...
