Textile skills in Mexico are mostly focussed on clothing--the blouses, skirts, dresses, rebozos--that make up the traditional dress of rural Mexico. Contemporary textiles derive their variety and depth from the fusion, over many centuries of different materials, techniques, styles of dress and decorative motifs. Cotton and wool are both abundant in Mexico and used in daily and ceremonial dress.
