Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

Beautifully woven textiles in a large place mat size, woven in Michoacán. These blue and off-white striped pieces are meant to be used as place mats. They are large enough to be used as hand or tea towels. I am very choosy about the quality of these handmade pieces so they are all exquisitely woven.
100% cotton. Wash in cold water, hang to dry. Press with steam iron.
