Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

Expertly woven on a pedal loom these luscious, one of a kind shawls are from Kutch, India. They are long "rebozos" or shawls that can be used as a stunning table runner, at the foot of the bed or as a gorgeous wall hanging. The color combination is an expert mixture of harmonizing colors. The ends of the warp are tiny tassels to add just a little more deliciousness. Silk, cotton and wool blend. They are soft and drape easily around the neck and shoulders. I purchased these at the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe from the artist himself!
You will receive the piece in the photographs. They are one-of-a-kind.
