Ceramics from yesteryear
The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.
Consider giving a gift of high quality, Mexican handmade goods! Every piece is authentic and personally selected on our buying trips to Mexico.
Lots of unique, colorful paper products and decorations are made by Mexican artisans with skill and creativity.

Make your own pillow or use as a placemat! Beautifully embroidered Otomi tenango textiles of the place mat size, embroidered by hand in Mexico. The Otomi Indians are originally from Hidalgo and Puebla but have moved to lots of different places all over the country. These vibrant pieces can be used as place mats but they look amazing as pillow covers or framed in white or bright colored frames, as in the last photo. I am very choosy about the quality of these handmade pieces so they are all exquisitely embroidered.
Can be washed in the machine in cold water on the gentle or "hand wash" setting. Hang to dry.
