Set of Vintage Tlaquepaque Nesting Bowls

$ 28.00

These small, handled, nesting bowls were made in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, a suburb of Guadalajara, Mexico. They have a tell-tale design, typical of the region. Many vintage ceramic items were made in the late 50's through the 70's. Ceramics like these are not being made in Jalisco now, but were for the tourist trade which increased after the Transamerican Highway opened through Mexico. This type of ceramic is older and likely will have lead in the glaze. These are small, in perfect condition and were used for display in the shop. Comes as a set of 2.
