Hooray! The shop is now open during regular hours from Wed-Sunday. See the bottom of the page. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Face coverings are required and we prefer social distancing until most people are vaccinated. Private appointments continue to be available. Curbside pickup is available during open hours. 


**The shop is open for private appointments on Tuesday-Saturday from 11-4 and Sunday 12-4. Appointments can be made up to 24 hours ahead of time and are for 45 minutes. Masks required. 

**Curbside pickup for online orders is Tuesday 11-2 and Friday 11-2. 

**Shipping of online orders is done on Tuesday and Friday. Please let us know if you are in a hurry to receive something and we can send it sooner. 

**We plan to reopen our business to shoppers in the late spring after all of our staff have been vaccinated.

Zinnia Folk Arts could not have survived 2020 and its challenges for small businesses with your encouragement, loyalty and continued support. (I'm looking at YOU.) So, I thank you. 

Welcoming customers into our shop and sharing our love for Mexico and Mexican folk art is what we love to do, and we look forward to the day we can return to our buying trips to Mexico and to a fully open brick and mortar store. That said,  now that the holiday season is over, we've decided to continue focussing on online sales, shipping, private appointments and curbside pickup in the coming weeks. My priority is to protect the safety and well-being of our team and our customers. The pandemic is still raging, people are getting infected every day and deaths continue to mount. The vaccine provides some light at the end of the tunnel, but for now, we are still in the tunnel. 

I wish you all the joy of a new year, of moving forward, with some whimsy, joyful color, kindness and generosity toward other people and (I hope) travel in it. We will, just as we did in 2020, get through this.

Store is open every day from 10-4 until Christmas Eve (12-4 on Sundays) and for private appointments, and curbside pickups. Make appointments online. Curbside pickup is available during all open hours. 




In order to keep our staff and customers safe, the Minneapolis store will be  CLOSED THIS WEEK and during Small Business Weekend except for PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS. Online sales will be shipped throughout the week.  Curbside pickup for orders purchased online, will be available on Tuesday, Nov 24 from 11-2 and by private appointment during this week. 

Beginning on Tuesday, December 1, the Minneapolis Shop will be open from 10-4 every day and open 12-4 on Sundays. Private appointments will be available from 4-6 everyday except Sunday. 



Store Open on Fridays and Saturdays Beginning Friday, October 16, 2020  The Minneapolis store will be open from 11-3 on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Friday, October 16 until further notice. Masks are required. No more than two people in the shop at a time. 

We will continue to offer private shopping appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as of this date.

Curbside pickup can be done on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11-2. Shipping of online orders is done 3 times/week. 



Private Shopping Appointments Available after September 8, 2020: We will experiment with private shopping appointments for one person at a time beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020. There will be a $5 fee for the appointment which will be refunded if items are purchased during the shopping appointment. The fee is not refundable if no purchase or if the appointment is missed. Appointments can be made at this link  up to two weeks in advance. Please do not bring children. Wearing a mask is mandatory. We will provide gloves and hand sanitizer.  Contactless checkout will be available.

We believe in the power of beauty, color and handmade objects to uplift and create a happy home. We are not just about folk art. Our travel, purchases and sales are about people, about our connection to a world beyond our borders, about the creative spirit  and about making beautiful things that inspire and delight. 

During these unprecedented times our Minneapolis based team is complying with the Minnesota Stay At Home order and following all recommended procedures for preventing the spread of disease. Our Minneapolis brick and mortar store is closed until further notice, staff is working from home, online orders are packed twice per week in a clean store that has had no in-store visitors since March 15, 2020 and only one person is packing and shipping all online orders. (These orders help us pay our bills! Thank you!) We are shipping out online orders two or three times/week. We continue to be available online at our usual email address, Info@ZinniaFolkArts.com.


We have established:

++Free Shipping for all continental USA online purchases, EXCEPT CERAMICS,  by choosing it at checkout. You may also enter the code, FREESHIPPING at checkout. Ceramics can be held at the shop and shipped later for actual shipping cost or picked up curbside. See Below.

++Our Loyalty Program members are now earning triple points.

++We no longer ship internationally. Shipping only to US addresses. 

++Our Twin Cities customers can now avail themselves of curbside pickup on either Tuesdays or Fridays from 11-2 or by appointment. (But you do need to let us know when you will pick it up so we are sure to be there!)

++Curbside Pickup: Payment is done through the website or via Paypal invoice. Pickup times are Tuesday and Friday from 11-2 or by appointment. Call to let us know you are at the shop during those times. Stay in your car. Delivery will be made to your car backseat, through the car window or trunk, by staff wearing a mask and gloves. 

++Until further notice, our ceramics are not immediately available for shipping.  They are available for Minneapolis curbside pick-up. If you live in the Twin Cities metro area, you can now select whether you would like to pick up ceramics (and other items) curbside on Tuesday or Friday. We will have it ready for you and deliver to your car outside the shop in mask and gloves! 

++If you live outside of the Twin Cities metro area, you may choose to purchase ceramics and have us hold the item at the shop to be shipped later (after we reopen) or to be picked up at the Minneapolis shop after we reopen. All ceramics have additional shipping charges in addition to the price of the piece. They are shipped by UPS from Minneapolis to your destination.   We are happy to offer free shipping to all other items in your purchase--we are shipping 2-3 x/week, so please expect a slight delay.
