The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

This is a very pretty painted and hammered tin mirror with doors that close. The design includes 2 small birds that are three dimensional at the top of the mirror. All of these have cacti painted on the outside of the doors. The edges are decorated with flowers. There's lots of texture and it's cute and whimsical. Perfect for a small space anywhere in the house like kids' rooms or a narrow hallway, because they add a spot of color and function as a great little mirror! Very nice, sturdy hook on the back.
